We are a registered non-profit society whose purpose is to provide a supportive and inclusive meeting place for survivors of stroke and other acquired brain injuries (ABI), their caregivers, and families.
Established in 1976, the Richmond Stroke Recovery Centre was incorporated November 18, 1997 as a registered non-profit society in British Columbia, in partnership with the Stroke Recovery Association of BC (https://strokerecoverybc.ca/) and March of Dimes Canada. It is one of the longest running stroke recovery programs in BC, continuing to operate out of the South Arm Community Centre (SACC) since its inception.
We assist survivors and their caregivers through education, activities and support to enhance the physical, mental, and emotional health and social interaction necessary to maintain their independence and enjoy an improved quality of life.
